Hiring equipment in Cabarete

Postby gigantas » Fri May 04, 2007 1:43 am

Hi,
I'm just trying to decide weather it's worth bringing my own equipment or hiring the stuff while I'm in Cabarete.

I will probably be there for about a week, however it is only one of my stops while I'm traveling but the only place I will be kiteboarding. Hence if I can avoid carrying all my stuff with me that's a bonus.

Can anyone recommend a shop to hire from, the equipment they stock, the rates for kite/board package, or any other issues there might be eg. insurance, deposits etc.

Thanks guys

It all depends on what you would like to hire. What do you normally ride?
Bow, C, hybrid? What brand, what kind of board?

The different schools have different gear but to hire something shoudnt be a problem. Check out http://www.thekitelounge.com for rentals.

I currently fly Rebels and ride a 137x37.5 board... but I would be comfortable with any SLE/ hybrid kite.

Just send a email to The Kitelounge then, they most likely can help you out.

Hi
Stay well clear of Sky riders - Club Mistral centre.
I cancelled and they agreed not to take money fron cc.

On return home found out they had taken money and despite alot of correspondence they will not return it.

I call that stealing!

I look forward to my next visit - anyone know if the Hells Angels who visit Cabarete offer a debt recovery service?

Good experiences with Kitexcite and Larel Eastman schools.
