Board lesh anyone ride with them?

Postby badmrfrosty » Sat May 12, 2007 8:52 pm

I saw some with a retractable leash... any thoughts for a beginner. I hate spending 10mins trying to get my board when I wreck. I only have so much time one the water due to conditions, energy and would like to maximize it.

It’s very dangerous using the board leash, that thing can turn your board into a torpedo ,I have a 4 year old scare on my back now from it and I know someone that bust open his head from it. Just devote 30 minutes out of your session to learn how to retrieve your board with the kite it’s super easy.If you're still going to use the board leash better wear a helmet

If you're getting tired and taking a long time to get your board during board retrieveal then you're doing something wrong. My advice to you when you buy that board leash is buy a helemt too, you will need it sooner or later.
Be safe!

I think I'll just skip the leash. Zero chance of me wearing a helmet....

posted this link sometime ago but its always a good reminder why not to use a leash

If you really want to see why you dont want to use a leash...
