Your right, the Thruster 14 and 16 have changed my perspective on light wind kiting. I have them both and every one who has tried them including me has been amazed with the performance. Fast turning is an understatement, jumps to the moon and as easy to relaunch as any bow.

As I said, the 16m was a real shock.

finally us 90kg+ guys can have fun with the skinny runts.

You say on your other post that there is no real bottom end benefit for the 16. Why would you get it then? What do you think is the bottom end of the 14 vs the 16? I weigh 90 kg...

Thanks

My bodyweigt is 90 kg and i have the 14m2 and 10m2 Thruster..
I think its the best combo for a 90 kg rider because you cover the biggest windrange otherwise you have to get the 16m2 and 12m2  and than you gonna mis out on the 10m2 and i love my 10m2 :thumb:

In the conditions we had them out in, when the wind dropped as it was prone to do that day, there was no advantage in the upwind point of the 16m V's the 14m.

The 14m is good enough in it's bottom end to get sub 90kg riders going in wind that is on the threshold of being too crap to kite in. ( my Opinion)

The point I'm trying to make is that, at the point when we see sub 90kg guys get up and having fun on kites small enough to perform ( 14m) us larger guys were relegated to battling for every foot of upwind gain on kites just plain slow and cumbersome.
we were getting wet for the exercise, not for the enjoyment.

The Thruster 16m is the kite for big guys to get out there and rip.
It flys like many and most high performance 14's. It's actually Fun.

maybe there are kiters out there who want to milk that 1 or 2 less kts.
Go for it.

I see this kite as being heaven sent for us over 90kg-ers who want more fun kiting.

Personally I believe I could get away with a quiver of the 16m and the 10m. The wind highs during the test indicated that at the point I needed to actually apply some depower, The 10m was an upwind option. So logically by the time the 16m was fully depowered the 10m would be a blast.
