How can you tell if you are a kite junkie?

Postby mattvogel » Mon May 14, 2007 8:21 am

I was thinking today about how you can tell your a kite junkie:

1. You only call in sick to work when it is sunny and 20+ knots and you never seem to make it to the doctor.

2. Your kite dealer is the first number on your speed dial.

3. The site of tress blowing in the wind gets you more excited than a super model.

4. You have all the most expensive kites and boards known to man yet you can not pay the rent.

5. You check the wind report 5 times a day just in case.

Please feel free to add your own :D

9. The only DVD's in your extensive DVD collections are kitesurfing videos.

10. Your car has almost as much sand in it as your local beach.

11. You head to the beach when everyone else is running for cover from the flying sand.

16) You spend WAY too much time on kiteforum...

17) Bathroom has an extra shower rod for rinsing/drying wetsuit gear. Also has a floor fan to accellerate drying time.

18) Garage has clothes racks for drying kites

19) Evenings and/or rainy days are spent:
1 - making boards
2 - tuning lines / rigging bars
3 - researching potential new spots with GoogleEarth
4 - window-shopping for new gear online
5 - downloading new kite vids
6 - watching instructional DVD's
