Given that most girls have a total physics stupidity, it's a bad idea... Mine wants to ride, but she just doesn't get it... At least last summer I had no success putting her on a board, i'll try being more patient this year, but it breaks my heart seeing her crashing my stuff... oven and over and over...

This being said, girls are always welcomed in kitesurfing community!

Good luck!

if you want to keep her, i'd recommend against it. teaching a g/f a sport almost never works out well.

get her some professional lessons while you go and ride. then share the stoke afterwards, massage each other's sore muscles, etc.

teaching your girlfriend

Having a girlfriend who rides =great idea!! Teaching her yourself = BAD idea. Get her some qualified lessons. Save your gear, your sanity and your relationship. Qualified experienced instructors have the proper gear for learning and techniques for teaching based on each individual students learning abilities. After she is riding she will be Happy to go on trips and chase the wind with you!! Be prepared - if she LOVES it you may have created a monster. My boyfriend had to pick me up 2x yesterday after ocean downwinders... I had a great time on the 14- wind too light for him!
Good Luck!

Considering doing so as well since I get frustrated really fast, but on the other hand, i'm not quite sure I want to keep her... :)

Hmm. I'm a bit miffed about this. "most girls have a total physics stupidity", eh? Yet we are welcome in the kitesurfing community? How are we going to feel welcome with attitudes like yours floating around? Nothing to do with your ability as a teacher, and everything to do with girls being stupid when it comes to physics eh?

Regards

Don't take it personally, i haven't said all the girls are like that... just most... :thumb: Or perhaps I just have a bad taste and girls I usually go out with tend to have real troubles grasping basic physics laws... But for some reason they're really good when it comes to using credit cards... :angryfire:
