EH Rippehr, bow or ultra flat?

Not being familiar with the brand EH, I had to check up on the kite. Is this kite a 2nd gen bow or the new Bruno design? A few photos made it look too flat to be a 2nd gen bow, and some didn't look like the ultra flat.
I couldn't find many shops that carry the brand and few pics.
Any help?

There is only one 2ng Gen (ie ultra flat)bow being produced at the moment and that is by Wind-X

I wanted to post this question too.... now that dirkydiggler has already post it.....

was googling photos for the rippehr but can seem to get some pictures thats close to bruno's photos on his website....

anyone who has a rippehr, can you get some shots... i notice, from the pilot's view, you can see almost all the struts....

very flat pure bow , EH does produce in smal numbers and updates a line like the ripper each time eric thinks he found a better cut , so there have been a couple more versions than two already -some pics tomorrow

to see of our current and older designs, our latest proto's are ultra flat and super high AR.

The ripper is flat and high AR

a wind-x kite taken from a similiar angle as EH's....



I believe that they have the same type of flatness.... but from Eric's pictures, its hard to see if the kite has a concave TE?

You can see the concave TE on this picture....



but in my opinion, both EH and Wind-x came from the same concept and it has been tweaked by both Eric of EH and Edmund from Wind-X and should cater to different riding styles but with some features that might just cater for all!!

EricHertsens, just to clairify when you say your new proto's are "ultra flat" does that mean they are of the new bruno design with the spaces between the struts and canopy?

Just making sure.

Thats a good point. Theres been a few kites like this.
JN was first werent they? Hopefully they put 5 patents on it!! or 7, 8,9 depending on how many struts.

Im lead to believe the leading edge rolls further around when inverted

just a comment about the rippers....and Bruno's design....i believe the following to be correct...though please correct me if you know better....


EH designed his flatter SLE high aspect Ripper before Bruno started designing the ultra flats...


Wind-x has designed their kite based on Bruno's ultra flat design...


and Erics new flatter than rippers proto in the pic does not have the space between the ribs and the canopy....

this material joining the strut to the canopy was originally seen in the JN kites and i think Bruno developed the same idea separate to JN but after it had already been done...

the idea is to help prevent the nosedive and subsequent inversions...

having said that....the rippers i have ridden for over a year now have never showed signs of inverting and though i never ride them at the very top of their wind range, i have caused them to float backwards in the window after a serious crash with no ill effects at all....
