Lost my Board in MAUI

Postby rufus » Wed Sep 12, 2007 7:34 am

I know that chances are kinda slim but who knows...

I lost my Carved Imperator III kiteboard last Friday evening at the kitebeach in Maui
If it turns up anywhere in the area - pleeease get back to me! I'm sure it's the only one around on the islands...

Reward? :thumb:!!
Thanks!

We certainly will keep an eye out for your board. Here's a tip for anyone who plans on kiting Kite Beach Maui and loses their board. Since the wind is usually side on your board will either wash up on the beach downwind or will end up on the breakwall rocks at Kahului Harbour. If one follows the beach downwind constantly scanning the waters offshore you will eventually end up on the harbour rocks and chances are your board will also. I've done this several times succesfully for a number of years now. If someone intercepts your board before you good luck negotiating. The Kahului Harbour rocks are the catchers mitt for most all lost gear. Get there before it does and you might save it!!!

Thanks guys!
I hope it turns up sooner or later. It sucks being here w/o my board  !!

I talked to a kiter who has seen a guy pick up the board form the beach just before dark so Im guessing I won't find it by the rocks...
