I have a Spleene Zone on the way. Very thin, flat out the back and designed with flex....

I guess I'll find out soon how "no volume" works out.

Nice board. I was looking at it too, but the Spleene Door at 159 with a rounder wider tail is better for my weight, but I can see how both boards follow the same principles. Very light. Thin for better edging. No conceve and very flat with absolutly no rocker out of the back. The Spleene adds one more feature that the SKYWALKER D WAVE does not have and thats the tail end flex. The Spleene Zone has a ridgid tail, but with a thinner section around the tail that flexes sort of giving you a dynamic small rocker at the tail of the board to smooth out chop and eek out a bit more speed as the flex reduces energy low from impacting the chop. The flex should also give the board more top end as it does on my Door 164.

Tell us more about riding the SKYWALKER D WAVE. With the thinner tail my guess is that it likes a stance with forward weight when tacking and going upwind. Riding with more forward weight and especially with a shorter nose to the board must give it a really nice small board feel compared to bigger floatation type surf boards.

The Spleene has a small area between the lage pads that does not have grip padding. I'll most likely add some there like on the SKYWALKER D WAVE, but I'll have to ride it more to see.
