New underground padz and straps vs Liquid force Luxury set

Postby kashi » Tue Aug 14, 2007 3:11 pm

I currently own an 06 underground FLX, and I find the straps really uncomfortable to the point of being painful and recently the pads - glued layers started to separate. I am considering replacing the set either for the UG or the LF. money wise there is only a 15gbp difference so its not an issue. any insights?

Cheers

A friend bought a LF board with the luxury foot pads & straps. They felt super comfy when setting them up on land, but he found them really slippery when in the water. He's sold the board and got a 555 instead, no complaints with the new straps.

I heard a similar thing in one of the mags about the LF bindings being slippery. You've got heel straps you could use to stop your feet slipping out, but good luck fitting them with the straps and pads!! Screws didn't seem anywhere near long enough. I've seen a few of the pros using the LF pads but without the straps, including Mr Hadlow, so maybe it's just the straps that are slippery....

Not sure if that's been much help or just confusing.. :desperado: !? But it's my 5 cents worth......

I use the LF luxury pads and the 06 naish Sol straps. Best setup I could ever imagine. Really cushions your knees when landing kiteloops and really powered moves. Give it a try.

thanks, for all your replies, is it true that the LF pads air bubble has a tendency to blow?

Check out the Caution pads and straps also.
Very cushy like the LF but not as slippery.

I use the new UG pads and straps, as they are also on the new Royal Boards One. They are super comfy and really locks your feet and cusion the landings! I really did not like the LF straps and prefered the SS pads.

I got the Best pads they are very soft and have carbon plates on the bottom which helps spred the weight on to the board when I loop hard.

Ive broken loads a boards under my front foot through the pad but these Best ones feel real differnt. I can't believe thry're made by Best!

oh yeh they are a bit cheaper than LF too!
