xbow 2008 9m - bridle lines twisting up ?

my bridle lines that connect to my steering lines or always twisting up badly . Anybody having the same problem , somebody found a solution ?

Did you do the modification on your 2008 kite? As described on the cabrinha website, in the support section.
The modification will greatly increase the durability of the bridle line.
Contact your dealer, the modification is free of charge and should be available very soon.

could you describe what you are talking about better?

do you mean when you take it out of the bag the lines are all wrapped around each other?

or

after flying you notice that the lines are all twisted?

I personally haven't noticed anything myself. I do, however, conenct the rear and front lines together at the conenction points when I pack it up so that when I unroll the kite they tend to be less tangled.

if they are getting twisted out of the bag...the next time you put up your kite, connect your fronts and backs together before your roll up your kite! If they are getting twisted up while flying....uh....I don't know what you're talking about...modified bridle or no modification...haven't seen them twist, and have flown the 9M for over 2 months...(the 9M jumps crazy high with the modified hefner mod...Love this kite!!)

100% it's because the fix hasn't been done yet on the bridles.

When the line goes through like that it introduces twisting. It happened to mine and 2 others around here. If it hyper twists it actually tightens the weave and shortens the lines.

When you put on the extensions it might be a good idea to compare both sides when you have the bridle apart. Can't comment on the Hef mod... have only done the one Cab outlines. Easy fix.

The pulley fix will get ruid of that twisting problem too.

2 scenarios.

1) launching a well designed and engineered kite that is manufactured correctly.

2) launching a well designed and engineered kite that is manufactured INcorrectly.

Door number 2 is what happened.

plain and simple.

the manufacturing problem was caught early and the appropriate and simple modification has been distributed to dealers for customers.

lips...did you get your mod yet? it makes a real difference.

No. I haven't even got my new 08 xbow yet, actually. I'm still debating what I'm going to get. I've been a Cabrinha guy for years, but was a bit disappointed when I blew out panels on both my 9 and brand new 12, both in the exact same place and along the same seam.
