Rebel 2008 size 10 and 9 only for waveriders

Postby rafaeltapia » Wed Sep 05, 2007 10:46 pm

Please if you have a lot of kwnoleadge on the subject comment:

I own a Rebel 2007 7, 9 and 10. I use them all in the rear pigtail.

I am a fanatic waverider dont weigth to much use big surfboards ( 5,8 to 6,3) and usually enjoy epic conditions.

Here is my question, I love my Rebel 7 and 9 but find the 10 slow and not very god to be unhoock (I hear similar comments of advanced North Riders).

I want to upgrade my gear to the 2008 models I will get a 7 and I am deciding between the 9 and the 10.

I cant demo them so I need any advice I can get.

My question is, has anyone ridden the 9 and 10 for a while to be able to compare then and in relation of the 2007? Everyone says that 2008 have more low end (I can get going on almost anything strapless in my surfboard and my 9 2007) so I hope a 9 would be enough but I now I will gain some low end range with the 10, but I dont want to get stuck with a kite that feels slow and weird.

I usually dont kite in less than 15 knots. (I just surf!!!!!!!)

Anyone hav any advice.

I'm in the same dilemma :(
But not worried, 07 7m starts early,if 08 is even better, I think I will ride the 7m a lot (15kn to 35kn).
When conditions aren't the best I have my 10, with 20m lines will work fine.

Good waves
