I just ordered the one from Real Kiteboarding on wavesurfing. I hope to find it in the mail when I get home friday.

I'll let you know how it is.

I have the Real surfing video. If you know absolutely nothing about waves or the ocean then it's OK. If you surf and want to learn how the kitesurf then it's not that great.

Ben Wilson has one called Smack coming out that I hope is good. I enjoyed his Unknown Road surf video.

Take a pass

Take a pass on the real DVD... it gets a 0 on a scale of 1 to 10. I don't think it is even worth looking at for a beginner.

I agree that the Real Kiteboarding SURF is for beginners.

I would like to see an intermediate one that focuses on the techniques for flying the kite while riding the waves. When to power upstroke, power downstroke, what to do when you stall/idle the kite because of a turn that took you straight downwind faster than the kite could back fly, how to lead with the kite, after-crash recoveries, self rescue in surf, etc.

Let me know if you find one.

Well.....that's a great recommendation!!!! Just ordered it, can't back out now!!!!

next time I'll post before buying........doh!!!!

I'll watch it and give some feedback. I have no experience at all in the waves excetp for a 1.5 hour session last week in knee high mavericks.

maybe it is good for beginners, keep ya posted!
