I move to Hawai'i and look what happens

Postby Generic-Imitation » Fri Nov 02, 2007 12:53 am

I move to Oa'hu and I have some kind of resistant bacterial infection that is claiming the top part of my skull, as well as my left ear. it really sucks, i guess it is common around here. I hope it isnt, or if it is, i hope i become immune after this lil episode, it is kicking my ass. I came here to kite, and live the life for a lil while, but ended up in the hospital for a while, now i am stuck at home, not kiting... really sucks.

I didn't even get to the beach but 1 time, and i didn't even get to kite. BTW, That big rock on north shore is fun as hell to jump off of!

the doc told me its going to take anywhere from 4 - 8 MORE weeks to clear up this infection.. I really don't wish this on anyone.

It's a super common bacteria at north shore surf spots. It gets really bad when overhead waves and wind stir up the water. I hope you heal fast. I lost 11 ninths of my brain to this years ago and look where it led me.

all i know is the doc said it was some kind of bacteria that was resistant to most antibiotics. He said "you might have seen a spot on the news about it even". I haven't... i think the name starts with an "M" i could be wrong, i been out of it lately (for obvious reasons)

Haven't had a chance to get on the super ferry, my car is being shipped here, but not yet.
