Whats up with Half sizes?

Postby WildDuke » Thu Dec 13, 2007 4:00 pm

HEy, Whats the deal with kites coming out in half sizes. I realise that kite manufacturers bring out models in their range either in odd or even sizes so that they dont end up overlapping, however when you look at the Naish Cult range however the have a 15, 13.5, 12, 10.5, 9, 7.5 and 6. If I fly a 14m kite at the moment, and wanted to move over to a Cult, would I go for the 15m or the 13.5?

WildDuke, What kite do you use now? Is that C, Bow or hybrid- there is a lot of difference. It will be much easier to advise if you say also your kite model and brand name.

@WildeDude
The size is just a indication of how big the kite is, somwehat correlated to the power it generates. Last year model might be smaller but generate more power or vice verse. The only way to know if it has more power is for you to try it yourself, even advice from people with the same kite as you might be inconsistent.
