Cult 7.5, whick one for smaller kite

Postby mangevbg » Sun Feb 03, 2008 10:54 pm

I have a Naish Cult 7.5 that I love, but there are times when I need a smaller one, so my question is if anyone have tried the Helix 5 or Cult 6 and can compare them with the Cult 7.5. My third option is to get a Best Waroo 5.

I have been riding Cult 7.5, Helix 5 and Code 4.5. The Helix and the Code got field tested in almost 20 m/s (about 40 knots) last weekend and the Helix was really furious. I got more lift than I ever could have asked for and it was fast as hell. Really fun for boosting and looping that is but not ideal for waveriding. The Code 4.5 was much smoother, just like the Cults. However, I hadn't trimmed my Code properly so I didn't get as much force as I could have had and also I really missed the comfort of the Octopus system. In what winds are you looking to ride the small kite? I had my Cult 7.5 out in 30 knots today and there was some depower rope left before I would have been in trouble.

Well... if you consider that we had three degrees above freezing point yesterday we're not so lucky after all =)

Hey Sourra, thanks for your input!

So when will I see you next time making big kiteloops at Kobeach?

Varberg, 75 km South of Gothenburg is the Kitesurf Mecca of Sweden. Stop by if you're in the hood =)

Magnus: I'll pick up some boots on Saturday. See you in the store if you're stopping by.
