There are a lot of brands and a lot of styles for different needs but I would like to know which company is the elite in board manufacturing.

Before I say anything, I am sponsored so obviously this is biased.

In my opinion Balance is the best board company out there. Amazing quality and performance. It isn't what you would call an "all around" board obviously cause its Alvaro's so its really high powered and likes to be ridden fast and hard. Its all about pop, upwind, speed and power. Also when I come down from really hot from kiteloops its got such smooth landings. Check it out http://www.wearebalance.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; the size is 133x39

I like the outine of their boards and that they look quite rockered, but it's hard to tell from the pictures. When my Custom dies I'll need something to replace it and so far nothings really working as nice for me.

Our boards are pretty flat rockered for quick planing and pop but not so much that its uncomfortable

There is good reason why many experienced riders around the world go to experienced custom board shapers and do not go with the same brand of board as their kite.

So I reckon any board made by an experienced custom board shaper is the Ferrari of boards. It is not easy to make a really good /reliable kiteboard - proven by how many times companies have had problems with entire batches of released boards failing at a very high rate when put in the hands of an advanced rider.

Harness - Mystic
Kite - Ocean Rodeo Rise 08

I tried it ..... yeah if you live in Tarifa you have the chance to do it .... and in my opinion it is a great FREESTYLE board but ......................it is a freestyle board .......

Heavy chop ? not so good .... spray to much into my face and you have to put a lot more weight on the back so the board tip dosen´t dive down, also it was a bit to soft so it can start bouncing .
Waves ? ok . but there are better ones
Jumping ? great ... nice soft landings ( even for a board in that size ) since i ride a 135 x 43 ....

SO .... a great board for advanced freestyle riders

I my case i´m not, so if i would have the cash i would go for the Shinn ....

Saludos

Impossible question.
Like " who is the prettiest woman ou there ? "
The board that makes you vibrate, your neck hairs stand up, fill you with warmth, gives you the impression you could beat anyone, makes you go to new heights, ........ .
The one that is sweet for you is your ferrari, or maserati or whatever turns you on.
Personaly I get my kicks on a naish 6'1" wave board right now.
