Best fuel set for unhooked

Postby 3SK » Sat May 31, 2008 9:08 pm

Hey guys
So here is the problem... Decided i should buy some new kites since i sold my Vegas07.
I can only afford 2 kites at the most.
I only sail unhooked and i waves (strapless off course). I owned a 14m2 Vegas but found it to big and slow, and i generally dont like to sail in wind less than 16 knots since my time for kitesurfing is pretty limited due to my study. So i am thinking either Fuel 11 and 7m2 or 11 and 9m2.
I hope somebody have been in the same situation as i have and can tell me witch series than is best suited and do not overlap to much?

Also in regard to my choice, how is the new SS bar? Is the CL fixed when you are unhooked?

"Is the CL fixed when you are unhooked?"

what do you mean by this? Once you unhook there is no chickenloop, it all becomes fixed.

Get a generator 7.5 and that's all you need for the conditions you describe. Better than the fuel unhooked. I would prefer the 9m torch to the fuel as a second choice. but that's just me.

I mean; is the CL fixed in a position so it is easy to hook in and out. Otherwise it would just be dangeling and you would have to "catch" it with the hook.
I'm gonna pass on the Generator, doesn't really concern my post does it...

LOL ^^^ no it really doesn't concern your post haha.
I would go 7 and 11 you will cover a good wind range with these two kites with little overlap. The chicken loop will be stiff when you unhook so u wont have to grab it with your hand.
