Has anyone tried the new victoria kite skim. It looks like a XL regular skim with some small fins on it? See link below.
Do any of you ride skims in waves, or just flat water?

skims rule in flat water and small waves, as soon as the waves get over 3 foot and are down the line it helps to have some fins.

That is a sick sequence.
To clarify? When the waves get over 3 feet do you just go to a surfboard or do you have a finned skim as well?

i stand to be corrected but the problem is dropping down wave faces over 3 feet as the flat rocker of the skim just nose dives but you can still carve off small ones without the fear of going over the falls!
you definately need fins in surf - even chop - big help no doubt on that front...
nice photo sequence but im struggling to work out - you have popped off a kicker wave toe first to jump into 180 degree turn riding off aka aerial gybe?
the third from end photo in sequence throws me - did you over rotate then pull back to land down wind?
nice style - respect
