I appologise in advance. I don't speak any Portuguese yet.

I am a kiter from Vancouver BC Canada and I have just taken a job in southern Portugal (Castro verde) starting in Jan. Where is the best place on the southern coast to live and kite? I was looking at a place called Vila nova de Milfontes. It looks nice from a google maps perspective anyways.

In Vancouver I get by with a 7,12m combo that gets me kiting from 14 to 30+ knots. I use my 12m 90 percent of the time here (90 kg with a 139x40cm TT). What sort of kites do people use there? What are winds like in winter? In summer?

About the wind take a look to windguru statistics.
It will take you some time to get to the sea from Castro Verde, but Milfontes ou Faro are very good spot's...
