09 Rise vs 09 Waroo

Postby Zoah2006 » Tue Feb 03, 2009 5:01 pm

I’m looking for some thoughts/opinions on the Rise vs the Waroo.

I have been riding Waroo’s for the past 2 yrs, but I think I want to try something different this year. I have read some good stuf on the Rise, but haven't taken on out yet.

Let me know what you guys think…

Where do you ride Zoah? Lemme know and I'll see if I can help direct you to a good location to demo an 09 Rise. I guarentee you'll love the kite, and know you will enjoy being a part of our Crew!

Thanks for considering OR!

JZ, I'm located in Ottawa, Canada. The closest OR dealer is in Kingston. I've email them and they have been very helpful and have provided all of the answers to my questions, which has been nice.

I'm just trying to see what I can do to get a demo in my hands for a few weeks. We are planning to go to SPI for a week then off to FLA for another, so this ideally would be the best time for me to demo a kit, but i know I'm asking a lot to take a demo kite for this long...

let me know if you have any magic to provide a solution to my selffish problem

I would just plan ahead and make sure to get in contact with a OR dealer in either SPI or FL. you never know what the wind is going to be so to try and take a demo kite with you would not work. the local dealer will set you up with whatever you need for the days conditions. I am a dealer in SF Bay area so can't help you out on this one but know the dealers down there would help you out.

you will be very happy with the Rises, amazing kites.

Stefaans, thank you for the reply.

I never though of that, just assumed that the wind would be perfect, why wouldn't it be?

I'm going to look for a dealer in the SPI and Tampa area

I have mixed up my quiver or waroos with rises.
The build quality is stronger then my waroo.
The rises are better for unhooking than the waroos. (I believe makes the kite)
The low end is a little better for the waroos.
Turning is a little better on the waroos.
The waroo bar is better.
The throw in the bars are different.

All are just opinions its all on what your looking for.
Always Demo

tristonjah, what sizes of Rise/Waroo do you ride? I can see the comment about the bar being true. I have a LF Havoc and find the depower below the bar a challenge at times.

Can't wait to demo one. I'm trying to get one out on the snow this weekend

Thank you for the input!

Z
