Self-Rescue or Bailing Out, some questions

Postby RickI » Tue Apr 12, 2005 9:04 am

Lots of us know how to and have had to practice self-rescue by using the kite as a sail (or bailing out), and crusing in more or less perpendicular to the wind under power. You can cover ground faster and easier than you can swimming if you have some distance to go if adequate wind is present.

Not everyone knows how to do this however, (there is more than one way to do it) and many have never even tried it.

Being rescued is great, if it is available when and where you need it. Being able to get into shore under your own power whether the kite is flying or not could make an important difference some day.

What do you think?
