Women's Kiteboarding Association Kicks off 2006 with Cabarete Camp
The Women's Kiteboarding Association (WKA) has announced its' 2006 Camps & Clinics schedule, kicking off the season with Beginner Camps for women and girls in the tropical paradise of Cabarete, Dominican Republic in April.
The WKA "Spring Chicken Kiteboarding Camp" will be held April 18-22, in partnership with The Laurel Eastman Kiteboarding Center, with a possible second camp to follow, April 25-29. Camps will cater to very beginners to intermediate beginners, focusing on personalized instruction for everyone. Professional kiteboarder Laurel Eastman, Kite Chicks Director Petra Schaefer, and WKA Directors, Tonia Farman and Stacy Lowery, will be leading kiteboarding instruction, clinics, and group events for the 5-day retreat.
The Spring Chicken Camp has only ten slots available, and includes 5 nights beachfront accommodations at Hotel Caracol, breakfasts, all kiteboarding instruction & clinics, pilates, a group dinner, and all hotel transfers. In addition to kiteboarding, participants have a variety of island activities to sample including surfing, mountain biking, diving, horseback riding and touring the beaches and Septentrional Mountains that surround Cabarete.
