HI... I'm considering getting a wider board ( not longer than 138cm in length + no more than 40-41cm in width ) + was just wondering if any gals out there had tried the aura 130 or 132... what did they think of them....
any other recommendations?
thanks
jp

hey jp,
if you have the chance check out the '05 Underground FLX. I personally really like the 128 x 38, but since you're looking for a longer board the 132 x 39 might be a good board for you. As the name sais it's very flexy. that makes it easy to ride through chop.
greetings, sanja

hey JP
have you ever tried an Airush Board?
you really should, the new boards this year are great,
and its not your typical, guy stance, too big for us girls thing going on!
I would recommend the Protoy, it comes in 127 which is 38 wide or 135 which is 40 wide.
With the new kick tips it makes for great riding in all conditions.
hope that helps

Hello e !!
No, I've never tried Airush (boards or kites)- but I'd certainly give them a try as well,---particularly if the pads/footstraps + stance (i.e- width between footpads), are more geared to the gals..
Thanks !

I have the aura ltd and I love it. It's great in the chop and goes up wind like mad.
I'm pretty big and come from a wakeboarding background so I don't find that's its too big for me.

Hi JP and all ya girls,
I just stumbled on this and am stoked to find a spot to talk to other girls!
I'm over in New Zealand, so if any of you ever head this way look me up!
If you haven't bought a board yet JP... To answer your question, I've never ridden an Aura, so can't comment on that, but do know that most custom board builders will be able to recomend a board size, shape and amount of flex etc. depending on your height, weight, riding style and conditions you regularly ride in.
I had Dave from Decaykiteboards build me a Stiletto, which is a women specific board a couple of years ago, because I found I was over powered on the mens layup boards. I now am married to Decay and build my own boards (still shaped and designed by Dave), which change in design as my riding style changes from season to season.
So see if there are any custom board builders in your area and what they'd recomend.
Happy Kiting
Su

JP,
You should check out Aggression Kiteboards they're great!
I ride a 128x38.
The guy that makes them is amazing and they're all handshaped.
He builds them in Buxton, so you can check it out when you come down.
Same to all the other girls out there looking for a great custom board made just for us. You can check out the testimonials.
Just in NEW GIRL GRAPHICS too!!! I'll have pics up soon!
Check him out at http://www.aggressionkiteboarding.com.

OMG~~ that is so ironic!!
Last Fall, I was talking with my friend Art ( @ Foxwatersports), and he recommended Aggression as well. He even gave me Steve's (GS?) phone # to call + talk stuff over with him....
To make a long story short-- I did give Steve a call~~ and I ended up buying a used Aggression board from him ...
it's 132 x 38 ( cr*P i forget)....something like that...
Glad i went with it!! Very Nice board !
