Cannot login? Having login Problems? Read This

Postby Toby » Mon Jan 14, 2008 10:41 pm

The update changed some things on the site, therefore some cookies, which safe the login data (such as username and password), are not working properly.

To solve this problem, click on this link:
ucp.php?mode=delete_cookies" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This will delete your kiteforum.com cookies and next time you login click to save your your username and password again, then it should work.

Every time you should have this problem again, do this again.

The link can also be found on the index site http://www.kiteforum.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; below the last forum listed:
"Delete all board cookies"

If this does not help, then delete all cookies manually.
Delete all from http://www.kiteforum.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , http://www.kiteforum.tv" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and http://www.kitecommunity.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Find a how to guide here:
http://www.aboutcookies.org/Default.aspx?page=2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I hope this will help! If not, mail me: info@kiteforum.....

if the link does not work:

Use the cookie manager in Firefox:
Tools > Options > Privacy > Show cookies

Select cookies for Kitecommunity and Kiteforum and click "Remove Cookies". Now you'll be able to login normally.

Don't click "Remove All Cookies" accidentally.

Deleting cookie fixed Firefox, but not IE.

I prefer IE. IE logs in for 10 seconds, then kicks out when page refreshes.

Deleting ALL cookies doesn't fix it with IE for me.

How about deleting the tracking cookie and use something Norton doesn't hit on as a bad cookie.

Help!

Safari still doesn't work despite clearing out the cookies. Also, your character verification doesn't appear in Safari.

Got Safari sorted out by:

Hitting Safari > Preferences > Show Cookies

Then deleting the Kiteforum cookies and signing in. It seems to be holding for now.

Also in IE the solution is to delete all cookies.
I solved so on both IE6 & IE7 ;)
I suggest to add that info on the login main page, because may be that message is not readable to the users with problem just in login....
