Why doesn't Takoon make larger kites?

I have a 12m Nova 2 and I love it. If they made a 15m or 17m I would get one, as I expect others would as well. There are loads of bigger riders who need larger kites, and most people can use a larger kite at somepoint or another. So why don't they make larger kites?

Takoon had 15m2 Nova. This was the slowest turning kite I have ever seen . Brobable this is the reason why they dont make big kites.

I'm a lightweight so fortunately I can get away with the 12m but a 14/9 would still be the best combo for me and I'm a little disappointed that they don't have bigger sizes given the fact that they have managed to improve the turning speeds on the kites so much that turning speed is no longer an issue. The Furia is damn fast so its quite feasible to make a 15m.

At the moment, I've resigned myself to staying with the 12/9 (or potentially 13/9 if I switch to the Furia) combo and getting a skimboard for the really lightwind days which should solve the issue.

Far more important than a big kite is a bigger board for light winds. Flattish, reasonably stiff and wide is the go.

I agree, I ride max 11m furia with a big board: 138X40, and this is better than riding a 132 with 13m² (more fun).
Other, with the trimming on kite you can generate a lot of power.
My friend use 5m more lines in light wind.
My low end (75Kg) is about 12knots upwind start to jump.

That depends on the type of kite.
a 12m C kite is smaller than a 12m SLE - its all in the projected area not their Flat area sizes.

eg 13m LEI projected area = 8.5m a 13m SLE or Bow is nearer 11m

yeah, I have an 8m & 12m SBII quiver. with my SuperPhatty (132 x 46, flat no rocker) and the 12m I can go upwind in 11mph. I weigh 75 kg. it's all about the board.
