UFO news

Postby Mitchel_12000 » Fri May 12, 2006 4:29 pm

I see the ufo has arrived in Germany. on (http://surfforum.oase.com/showthread.ph ... post254012) you can see some pics of the genII ufo of sof-x. For the ones who can't read german, the review says the kite has a very good low end, high end not yet tested. Kite is very stable due to the 3 line setup.

Now I would like to know if you guys up there in the US allready have a UFO. I would like to see as many reviews as possible before I will start to order.

greetz,
Mitchel

got to test the 8 meter here at israel. first at about 14knts and then at about 18-20 knts. here is what i think:
pretty fast. not the fastest but fast.
low end- probably like a 11m 05' fuel.
very stable.
you can let go of the bar with no fear that the kite will fall down or will invert.
i tried the answer, nova, crossbow, turbow (diesel) and liked the ufo2 best.
BTW i ride a torch2 14m and a fuel 9m 2005.

The better question is do you actually know how to fly the other kites. Do you know how to set them up? I guarantee you that you don't, so this review is nothing more than wishful thinking.

Hey kitesurf66,

What makes you think eldadgold does not know how to fly these types of kites. I think YOUR answer is pretty worthless. Did you flew the UFO2? If no, don't answer in this forum as if you allready know how it flies. Please wait with your opinion untill you can give some real feedback.

the kite very fast but stable.

you can let go of the bar with no fear that the kite will fall down or will invert.

very interesting with the 3 line & the uniqe bridel.

Hey, Are you Israelis riding at diamond head on the Kinneret? A bunch of us are coming there in May next year. How is the wind in May? Thanks.

hi,
sure we are.
the diamond just started being windy last week.
one of the best spots in the world with 5 days of 20knts every week between end of may till end of sept.
try coming over at june-july.
BTW there is a big plan to build a resort at diamond and we are trying to fight it. we won at bat-galim where they wanted to build a marina and we hope to win this one as well.
C U at diamond.

Yeah you betcha. I windsurfed there a whole bunch in 1999 with Doron and a bunch of guys. That is one of the best secrets in the whole world for consistent wind. Best waves/chop I have ever seen in fresh water too! Later. Jeb
