forum for kitesurfers

99% of kiters have absolutely lousy style.

no offence, i know many of you are old and stiff ;) but come on!

í´d rather see a slow, smooth 720 than some megafast spun 1440.

look at the film breaking wind, a perfect example of what i mean. not even one trick in the movie has any style, absolutely horrible to watch(and lousy made too).

they spin, arms failing, body´s straighted out like figure-skaters and so on.

come on, smooth and clean please. i can´t stand watching YOU!

even at the world cups, a lot of the top riders i´ve seen, they are good riders, do tch tricks but they have NO STYLE!

do it with STYLE!

and also, land your tricks. otherways it doesn´t count, OK?

and a touch is not a grab and don´t tweak so ugly like many of you do.

I wonder what percentage of kitesurfers ride for their own pleasure rather than the pleasure of onlookers. Of course if 'looking good' gives you pleasure then go for it.

But we're not all comp riders.

Style will come with time. things are changing very fast (equipment). Just when a style begins to emerge (mutant style) bang along comes some new gimmick (WT) and everything changes accordingly. Now another form is showing up stubby/ultra small. If somebody sails with style on a mutant he/she just looks old and out of date. Too bad because the trick thing gets dull real quick.

the sport has everything!
that's why we love it!

and indeed: style is very important!
it can look better than the most difficult trick there is!

Just ride they way you like it!

Hey guest,

How about a few more tips. I love to pull the baaaaadest tindy grabs when the style police is watching, just to piss them off. I could use a few more tricks in my bag. What would really get under your skin?
