Line problem on Boxer

Postby Phil » Tue May 04, 2004 11:13 pm

I just received my 9 and 12 Naish BoxerII.
Out of the bag the two bars have a difference in length between the two back lines (black color code). The difference is about 10cm, the shorter line is the one which is bearing the tube used for stopping the bar when released.
Does anybody experienced this problem?
I suspect that the stopper tube is eating these centimeters, and the lines are connected at the same distance from the power adjuster.
Do I need to stretch the lines first?
If stretching the line doesn't solve the problem, what would be the best way to overcome this problem, knowing that there is very limited possibility above the power adjuster to fine tune the back lines connection?

Advices are welcomed :bye:

Last concern about Naish this year, the Boxer's bags are too short for packing the kite with all struts inflated!! but on the other hand, the bag for my V4 16 is too long, very too long!!

Just take the bar stopper off, if you let go of the bar you are 99% going to have a tangle and will not be able to re-launch.
How much did you pay for them, where are you located?

You forgot the most important thing...how are the Boxer II's ???

They still have not arrived in Naishe's own backyard...Kailua...I know a lot of people are waiting for them...

For the lines...the stopper shouldn't make that much of a difference, maybe one or two centimeters...

a.

Sorry that was not why I asked. I sell Naish kites here, I wanted to know if they have come down in price, the Boxer 1's sell here for $1399AUD now and I am curious to know in advance, what the price for the Boxer 2 is going to be. Please tell, I will not mention that word, promise! :-)

Also have you flown the kites yet? What did you think of them? What other kites have you flown or owned?

Hi Phil

I am also waiting for some Boxer2's.

Please confirm if the scuff pads on the leading edge are intergrated into the canopy like on the X4.

Steve

I received the 9m last week and the 12m yesterday. I have not been able to test the kites yet, but will provide review as soon as we get a decent windy day during a weekend overhere (hopefully this coming weekend).
For the price...I have to check because I pickup the kites from my friend's shop and will pay later...
I know it is below the V4 but not far. Anyway, price in France might be not relevant for your country as pricing/marketing remains a local distributor business.
Concerning the pads on the LE I confirm that it is integrated in the canopy, as are the V4s and X4s.
