kite in Cumbuco

Postby kitebandits » Mon Jun 21, 2004 6:48 pm

We were last July travelling Ceara coast, Canoa Quebrada, Cumbuco and Jeri.
We kited 14 and 12 mts, in Jeri often with 8 mts and overpowered.
Cumbuco was the best kite, probably more beaches north from there have great conditions too.
After we arrived in Italy we find some friends were there too and they told us about the waves in Tabuba, being better that in Cumbuco, they had this downwind trip from the small lagoon of the bridge until Cumbuco village. Next September we will make the trip again, then we will explore all the places we missed last time. Saluti. FRANCO

Hi!

You don't need to book anything. Rent a 4x4 (any car will do but in 4x4 you are always at ease) and just go!
Cumbuco e very good, Jericoacoara (Prea) is a delight and Paracuru is the paradise!
Huge beaches everywhere! People are great!
Unbeleavable place to go!
Next year i will be there with all the family!
Good luck!

When you arrive cumboco from the east side, take first left, up the slope 100mts towards the dunes pass the "meat restaurante" you can find the cheapest 20-30 reals(5€)/night accomondation.

Cauipé lagoon(5 km west of Cumboco) offers nice flat and sweet water, can be crowded but not in the mornings. :thumb:
