Cabrinha vs. Gaastra

Postby gabdc » Fri Aug 27, 2004 2:23 pm

I like to buy 3 kites, my weight is 65 Kg and I ride in Brazil, but i don't know what to choose...

3 Kites:

Cabrinha Nitro 17 / Cabrinha CO2 12 / Cabrinhas CO2 10

or

Gaastra Stealph 16 / Gaastra Force 12 / Gaastra Force 10

or

Gaastra Stealph 16 / Cabrinha CO2 / Cabrinha CO 10

If somebody could help me ??

Thanks

Go Cabrinha !!! .. and go Nitro.. at least for 14-12-10m2..

and take contra2005 16m2 (or Co2) instead of nitro 17 ..

why?
- relaunch the kite in seconds
- awsome performances
- neilpryde sails quality worldwide recognized
- best customer service

I would suggest:
CO2 17 / Nitro 12 / Nitro or Co2 10

I have a CO2 17 and a Nitro 12.

I first bought a Nitro 17, but didn’t like it, and changed it for the CO2 after less than one month of use.
On the other hand, the Nitro 12 is the best kite I ever had.

If you can, try to demo a Nitro 17 before buying it.

Hope this helps.

Just one question? Where is your Cabrinha kite going to end if you have to use its quick release? :?:

quick release is for extreme situations when your life is threatened... then you maybe have nothing to care about the kite if you stay alive.. like all others brands...

when you need to instant depower the kite there is recon system... you stay connected to it with chicken loop while the kite falls down with no traction..

There is also the cabrinha by-pass leach option to ride unhoked that can be connected as recon activator or as " suicide leash " (to chicken loop to the back of the harness => advanced rider !!)

Just to add to that.....

04:hit the recon & it drops out the sky depowered

05: Hit the Tap out:
launch setting: just push the bar away from you, or let go of the bar, kite drops from the sky depowered
Ride setting: push the Tap out fitting away from you - kite drops...

hi mickpilch,

did you tried the 05 gear yet? if yes how do you like it ?

the new bar looks pretty different than 04 (power lock, recon...)..

Tried it a couple of days ago, nice gear lots of changes, CO2 & Nitro completely redesigned, real smooth - lots of lift you'll love them.

The bars are real good, loads of new features, even safer now, the kit rocks :)
