La Ventana, more consistant from November to march, with 20 knot winds most days. I have heard it is getting crowded. San Carlos is a killer windy wave spot the rest of the year.

la ventana will have its days with no wind. but most days will rock if your lucky. ride upwind for your first tacks toward el sargento and crowds are no issue. crowds of wind riders =kite landers lauchers. san carlos blows off shore some so be careful or hang with the solosports boys and the jet skis. good luck. :bye:

I choose Los Barriles over La Ventena cuz of huge waves/ swells, open sea,, more restraunts but $... Too crowds, chop waters , a very few resturaunts in La Ventena.. I have been in both towns since 1992 .
