2005 SS Fuel question

Postby frankm1960 » Fri Jan 30, 2009 1:17 am

Hi,
Anyone here know what those tension lines are for on the kite wingtips? They seem to allow for tightening of the trailing edge near each wing tip. I have the manual but there's no reference to them.

Thanks

Slingshot used to have an optional All Terrain Launch system (ATL). It would relaunch just like the 2009's with it......OK not near as easy but it did work in the right wind.

as long as I know ATL(all terrain Launch) did work better on snow. It didn´t work properly on the water.

Ah ok. You would think that would be in the manual :o

I'm curious what the system looks like and how you go about rigging it up now :-?

I guess it don't matter much cause I put on a 5th line.

I gotta say this is my first SS kite and I really like it, quality is fantastic.

I can't remember how the lines went, but there was a removable carbon batten in the wingtip. It definitely worked better on snow. For water if the wind was too light--good luck

Thanks for the info everyone. I did find something in the 2006 Octane manual about ATL.
