Look at this repair!

Postby Vin Stefanelli » Sun Apr 06, 2008 3:57 am

Guess who I caught riding his only kite today!

we all thought it was a goner about a month ago
the story was detailed here...
took place at Sandy Hook
when a squall came through
I missed the carnage but read all about it .
and got a first hand account from other witnesses.

I offered my original TD1 to APw12 until he got
a new kite but he just missed his own kite so bad
HE Brought it BACK from the DEAD!

From what I understand it was buried in a Pet Cemetary
free and unauthorized by the groundskeeper

well .... i used to have a semi industrial sewing machine and i can tell you that if he did it by himself is kinda a good job .... you have no idea how hard it is to sew a kite....and even worst do it strait .

So as long as it flies fine ..... the "look" is secondary .

Saludos

Yes it seems to fly as well as it ever did

I was kidding about the pet cemetary
har har!

the real story is that the repair was made
with the help of a mom of a freind
with some sort of a machine

I borrowed the sewing machine from my buddie's mom, i did it myself in my dorm room. It was my first time on a sewing mahine. the trick is to understand how it works and to be patient.

Its only a temporary repair till i get a new one, but it flies just as good as it used to. I crashed it pretty hard a few times and it held up fine.
