This video has generated over 100 posts on other forums. The strapless riding is good, but there is controversy about whether the rider can tail ride a board - strapless. It has been a heated debate with people claiming it is simple to others (like a Cabrinha pro rider giving away equipment to the first person to do it), to others claiming camera trickery and Velcro.
Scene in question is at 3:48 in the video.
Here's the video and two forum urls -

The simplest solution is usually the correct one. Chances are he just did a strapless tip slide and it worked. It would be much harder to fake it convincingly.

i think he's doing it. the optical illusion is that you are tricked into believing he is putting pressure down on the board which is impossible, it would fall down . . . all the pressure on the shoes is directed laterally, in the direction the board is going, and all his weight is being held up by the kite.
You still have to be wearing sticky shoes to do this, I think it's impossible to do barefoot strapless, not enough lateral traction

that explains it then! it must have absolutely happened because he is a real credible person, in fact i'd hazard to say he's an epic person!
get some better video on a few different angles and prove it is possible, but i'm calling BS or camera angle trickery.

haha you would get ripped into so hard at K I T E S C O O P . C O M grantman54 first off cause you're a tool, and secondly cause you fly "epic" kites (like a tool).
if this guy butterslides so well go take your cute little gopro or other camera and film him doing it multiple times with multiple angles and prove everyone wrong.
otherwise it didn't happen.
