SS Tyrant 6'1" Tri-Fin?

Hi I'm looking at the Slingshot Tyrant 6'1' as I want a surfboard I can use for both kite surfing and also normal surfing (no kite) when there's no wind and there's a SS Tyrant 6'1' in my area.
I'm 5'11 65kgs (145pounds) and not too advanced (in either kiteing or surfing) and the waves in my area only average 3-5 foot.
Would the 6'1' be a good kite surfboard plus make a good board for normal surfing (no kite)?
Does a surfboard make a good freeride board?
