In these times of economic recession and crisis buying kites is expensive.
What are the best deals you ever had ?

In January 2007:
Best Yarga Pro 11m 2006 complete for €399,- about $530,-
Best Nemesis Pro 8m 2006 kite only for €299,- about $400,-

in 2011:
Takoon Pure 7m complete for €350,- about $470,-
Takoon Pure 5m kite only for €265,- about $355,-

I also did some online swaps with people when I first started riding, so I started riding with a HUGE LF Proof 161 (it got me riding but that's about it) traded it to a guy for a OR Mako Skinny 150, then traded that for a Nobile T6, so basically I tried out 3 boards at various points of progression for roughly what I spent on the LF Proof ($225 or so)

In early 2009 i bought a 2008 15m waroo on ebay for 300 dollars that someone had bought, but never got into kiteboarding. I rode that kite for 2 years, about 50 sessions, and then sold it for 350 dollars on ebay.

Buying an end of season kite with a Best Ticket is a great deal too. Bought a new 2011 kahoona v3 7.5m this fall for about 450 including the price of the ticket. Resale value of that kite after a year of riding should still be about 450

bought a 2010 north vegas with bar off nwkites for $450 , mint. check nwkites for awesome used kite deals.

Picked up an 16m 07 Bularoo for $25. It needed 1 hr worth of repairs. I dont like flying big kites but it has given me 4 fun sessions that would of otherwise been skunkage. Cheapest per a session kite cost I have had.

Rode with my 5/3 AMP-K today, seems like a pretty good suit and it was a bargain. I still have a Proof 161 in my backyard, what a POS, you did well on that trade!

Re: good deal on 07 kite...

I gave a 07 8 meter raven away. Kite was in mint condition, and the guy got good use before he SOLD it.
