Cool movie which makes me think something has been lost along the way (stylewise an other).

I'm a little curious how often these guys lost their kites.

It looks like they had no leashes and always unhooked going all out to land however many spins happen. The learning process must have been astronomically expensive if they crashed and let go.

I know there a lot of people on here who've been doing it since the beginning, so how many kites did you loose along the way?

Wow. I haven't seen this in forever. I actually bought this on...VHS when it first came out!

What's worth noting is that Lou and Elliot were so far ahead of their time in terms of riding style. I don't ride like either of them, but it's impossible to deny the effect they had in shaping our sport. It was an article on them in Marlboro magazine in Spring 2000 that introduced me to kiting. And proceeded to cost me THOUSANDS. Thanks a lot!

The good old days! Must be getting old, remember being on maui 98-2002.Totally blown away by the scene there. Switched from windsurfing to kiting and never looked back :thumb:

I know what you mean - got an innocence to it :) loads of action, loads of crashes, bit of fun/stupid stuff thrown in - how it should be :thumb:
