I was wandering about what kind of skills would be necessary to KiteRace...
I'm a beginner in KiteSurf, but, from what i've seen, i'm not into tricks and freestyle, just "sailing" and perhaps some waves.
What should my training focus on? What skills should I develop?

the good thing is, that you can develop skills pretty quickly for racing, since the main task is going upwind. Here also gear can help a lot.
But try in all kind of conditions to go as much upwind as possible.
Pay attention to the body and hip position, and how it changes once you ride with one hand only on the bar. See the difference in going upwind as result.
Also train going fast and going downwind. Downwind can be tough, so you need to know how to ride downwind, maybe looping the kite etc.
Pay attention to what gear wins races and then go buy that gear.

stop by and say hello!
But you need to wait a bit for me in the finish...I'm one of the slowest!
The forecast does not look too good. But the skipper's meeting is at 14:30 !
First possible start is 15:00.
