I just came back from the US Nationals where Damien Leroy won the 50+ racer event with the best riders in the world, edging out Sean Farley. Here is what his board looks like: Damien's board

Sean Farley's board looks nice too Sean's Board, but both are very different. North is making a production board for racing that is essentially the same. Kent's board, this green board and not the one in the picture that Toby posted, is the fastest upwind - unbelievable. Kent's green board

Any way you cut it, a course race board needs to be directional and have straight rails and rocker within the stance width. Also, having angled fins is a big help since the boards are almost always heeled towards the racer - this will provide maximum lift. The traditional quad fin set-ups of 2007 are now behind advanced twin fins, and modified twin fins with small canard pick-up fins in the front.

Post pictures when you are done with your board!!
