Just recently bought a Rhino 14m '07 and got to give it a go in lite wind. I also got to try out a Contra 14m '08 (thanks Matt) in the same wind. Nice back-to-back test opportunity.

Next time you try the contra like that, ride with the kite set on the knot furthest away from the kite.....you will see turning faster, and less bar presure, thats how i ride it in the lite stuff....plus then you can par the kite, the turn upwind and away from it and load it to do jumps and tricks, rotation tricks will give you a better jump than just jumping in lite wind.

i dont add any extra, i find with bow kites, if you put on the knot furthest away from the kite, you fly the kite higher[not turning up and down hard] and sheet out, it flys high and out to the corner of the wind window....gives you more aparent wind...which you need in lite wind to jump, or get back upwind. As You know big r.....summer in fl is lite....your skills become greater flying in light wind, once you master it, your out alot more, great to pratice those hard tricks....anyway, once the kite is dialed and you fly it for the condtion, you can get away with alot.

Hey Paul,
What is the fix for the 17 and the 14M rear bridle lines being too long until I get the FIX lines from Cabrinha?
Thanks

I have a new Contra on the way. I've read that some of the XBow rear bridles were too long, is the Contra suffering these problems as well? is it some or all of the kites?
Can you tell/measure before you get out on the water?
Also, wouldn't moving down one knot slacken the steering lines, leading to less responsive steering? this fix seems kind of counter-intuitive. thanks a lot
