LIVE VIDEOCAST FRIDAY 7/10/09:

New innovations in board technology have completely changed kite racing this year. Joining us this week on The Kiteboarder Magazine and ASNews.net live videocast is John Gomes, organizer of the World Nationals in San Francisco in August and Nils Stolzlechner of NJS Designs, whose boards are being used by top racers like Sean Farley, Damien Leroy and Jesse Richman. John will be talking about the upcoming event and Nils will be going over advancements in board design and fin technology. Nils is also developing all kitesurfing fins for Futures Fins Company which will enter the market next year and will share a bit with us about this project.

Got a question for Nils or John? Tune in to the LIVE VIDEOCAST and ask your questions REAL TIME.

Time: 10am PST

Place: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/racing

If you can’t make the live show, you can post your questions here by Thursday at 5pm PST and we will ask them for you. The post-produced interview will be online within 72 hours at www.kiteforum.com, www.thekiteboarder.com and www.asnews.net.

UPCOMING INTERVIEWS:

Neil Hutchinson on the new Sesitec System 2.0 Portable Cable Park. Neil, one of the early pioneers of kiteboarding and southeast rep for Slingshot Sports, says this system is the closest thing to a kiteboarding simulator that he has ever tried. Find our more on the live videocast next Friday July 17.

Week of July 20: Videocast with shaper Pat Rawson (Rawson Surfboards and Liquid Force Surfboard Program) and Matt Biolos (Lost) regarding what goes into shaping regular surfboards and kite surfboards, and how various design/contstruction elements affect and change performance.

questions:
1) Is it better using asimmetrical fins or simmetrical ?

2) canted fins (how many degrees ?) or straight fins ?

3) Can Futurefinbox hold well 30 cm. fins ? or over 30 cm. must use Full size Tuttle ? now I use 25 cm. fins with Minituttle box, I would try bigger fins but I'm scared to break my finboxes...
