If it is a profit sharing setup I doubt a lot of people will be interested. Most programmers and systems designers get approached by people with "good" ideas and profit sharing several times a week. If you would be paying it would make things a little different. The fact that you haven't even taken the time do a search on what the language is makes me think this might not be an entirely serious request. By the way, the programming language is objective-c, and there is no flash on the iphone due to apple need to control their users.
Also this pretty much still holds:

Don't mean to bum you out, but this is pretty much how it is.

The only way you are going to not pay a developer is to learn yourself.
Go to iTunes and take the Stanford class on programming for the iPhone.
I am a web developer and I get the profit share questions all the time for websites and applications all the time.
Also the other rule in the game of website and iPhone development is that someone else is already working on your idea.
This is because the same market, world, life condition that gave you the idea gave it to a lot of others as well.
Get to work the race is on.

i saw a book on amazon on how to develop an app.
I also read the guy that did the sniper game make $600k in a couple of months. But there is alot of luck and timing involved with getting traction.
I am working on a google wave project that will be huge. Any programmers/developers pm me if you are into Google Wave apps and want to partner

powerkitefan: I've been looking into the XMPP lately. It is actually kind of funny. The protocol is old, and FINALLY being used for something really nice. I have sandbox account for wave. Awesome stuff. Started sticking it into my own small apps, and it is easy pie. Funny thing is that google is slowly making a distributed social network. People don't even realize it.Think about the combo between wave and voice. I got my number a while ago, and it just kicks serious butt. No wonder Apple refuses the voice app...it'll completely change the face of phones.
Ian C you have to write that immediately...you get a lot more goodwill if we know who you are
I'd say make something for the android platform..I just like it better.

Hi,
I do iphone dev for the fun of it and, if the app is good, it pays off. You "just" need to have very good ideas and implement them well and efficiently. The register/dev/go live process is not as simple as it should, though, it requires lots of patience.
Taultologies article puts the finger in major issues.
I think that Android is not the way to go now (things will change with time) if you want to earn any money: the mindset is "free" and the market is too small for any ad-revenue solution.
@longwhitecloud, send me a PM if you need help or partnership.
See you!

This quote reminds me of 2001.
Everyone was going to be HUGE in the Bay Area.
Google Wave is going to be huge. But be real if you knew what you where talking about you would not put your URL after EVER post
Why don't you prove me wrong and show you know what you are talking about and integrate a shopping cart ( not a copy and paste PayPal button) into your WordPress site before saying you are going to be HUGE in Wave.
