How`s kitesurfing in Panama?

Wind speed average?
Wind distribution year long?
Beaches?

I got a job offer but I might think of spare time doing what I like! Also, Panama is a hub to Caribe and wind is never far...so I wait your help.

I bought my gear from Itzig at Machete kites a few years ago in Panama city, Panama. He tells me it is seasonal for wind, and some good locations about an hour out of the city, both ocean side (he was refering to Pacific) and lake/river side.

Good luck

Panama is great. Go to Punta Chame, about 1.5hrs from Panama City on the Pacific side. The last stretch of the road (about 15 miles) can be brutal on your vehicle tho...
As I remember it is windy in the afternoon almost every day in the dry season (December to May).
The wind is side on shore and very steady about 20-25 kts - it is great.
The beach is very spacious during low tide, not so much during high tide. You can camp right on the beach or there is a small and restaurant hotel there. Then place is very nice but rustic - expect only basic servies.
Get in touch with Itzhick from Machete kites, he's great.
