Boots and injuries

Postby bam123 » Mon Aug 23, 2010 11:18 pm

I'm looking for an advice whether is better to ride with boots or straps after a broken ankle.
I was riding straps when the accident happened, and I was thinking maybe I could avoided the accident if I would be using boots. I think they would give extra support to my ankles in high speed landings and better control in those wakestyle tricks, but don't know if I'm thinking right.

So boots are better for ankles?

What about knees? Seems to me boots could cause a higher risk for your knees (just thinking of my snowboarding experiences).
