Kite Area Size?

I searched but theres nothing about area sizes with reefs.
This area i did google ruler its .28 miles wide by 1/2 long (the area in red brackets) and the wind is sideshore from the east, the reason i ask is because i live about 2 minutes drive away and the next spot is a far drive away and its with onshore winds. And there is another spot twice this size, same sideshore winds but no beach at all to launch from.

the red arrows is good launch sites atleast 100ft wide.

On a peak day we are 45 kiters on about 450x150m !
You don't need much space!

Looks good to me too! Our beach is much smaller too although we usually only have onshore wind for that spot ...
Make sure you don't get over-excited and go too far downwind cos trying to get onshore around rocks would suck.

half the time we kite in butter ponds 200 ft x 1000 feet so your area is huge by comparison, especially if you can walk back upwind in the water. I've seen videos of people kiting in swimming pools!

Thanks for the replies, the reason i asked was that there isnt info about size spots to kite. I did lessons in aruba and it was offshore winds but with boat support, so there wasnt really nothing to worry about. Would this spot be a danger in side-off winds for a beginner?

Avoid anything-offshore unless you're expert or have support!

Fixed it for you. Even pros can have a line break or just miss a trick and break their leg. Then you are SOL in an off shore wind.
