As long as all 4 lines are equal length when full powered up the bar should work. Note that the Wainman kite is designed to work on a bar with a shorter throw...so if you north bar has a lot of throw the kite may not act well with all that extra back line slack.

Sure you can. On the North bar you can adjust the throw by simply moving the cleat. Note that this does not change the length of the center lines.
