That is really creative.
Even if the board is not competetive with the conventional race board, it might be a good method of quickly getting way upwind of the pack of kiters...and then, allowing the kiter to do a fun downwind run. A lot of kiters like to do this, and the moderate rocker on the board would allow this.
My only worry would be that the fin is so close to the edge and exerts so much force, that it may split off the edge.

Seems like there would be a lot of cavitation and drag with the way the fin lays under the board. The Flysurfer system seems more clean.
