Hey Pouch,

Let me say that French racers are really great and outstanding and the french League races show top class level. It is not only Julien and Olivier. Salerno, Madier, Nocher, Hoceyni, ... yourself...

But Bruno was in Corpus and he was not able to beat Adam or Damo. Bruno was able to score two bullets only in ultra light winds.

And recently in Argentina, Heineken just trashed the competition winning ALL the races in front of Julien and Olivier.

Yes, the 2011 Worlds are going to be really exciting!!!!

Hopefully, Pouch, we'll meet in Arcachon next Spring. :thumb:
I know, just kidding

Heinekein was really impressive in argentina !

see you in arcachon !

3. Bruno Sroka (Cabrinha, FRA)

WOMEN’S RACING WORLD CHAMPIONS

And here is the 2010 dec 20th IKA update regarding the "World Champion" title :
http://www.internationalkiteboarding.or ... Itemid=140
The PKRA accidently published a press release a while ago announcing the best competitors on the years PKRA racing events as "world champions" and unfortunately the concerned riders used the title "world champion" as well. It has to be noted, that there are only two titles involving the label "world", these are the official world champions and the official overall world cup winners.

The 2010 Overall World Cup Champions are:

COURSE RACING MEN:
1. Bruno Sroka (FRA, Cabrinha)
2. Julien Kerneur (FRA, Takoon)
3. Abel Lago (ESP, RRD)
...
6. Adam KOCH (USA, -)
9. Damien Leroy (USA, Cabrinha)
11. Johnny Heineken (USA, Ozone)

COURSE RACING WOMEN:
1. Steph Bridge (GBR, North)
2. Kari Schibevaag (NOR, Ozone)
3. Caroline Adrien (FRA, Cabrinha)

Not getting deeper into this but just noticed an intersting fact on the link you posted.
A french rider never won an event in 2010 where any of these 3 US guys competed. I think that pretty much says it all.
I would definately say congratulations to these 3 guys but for sure won't say they dominate course racing.

Cheers Stefaans,
the good thing is that these French young guys (Kerneur, Dansin, Nocher) are just teenagers, they have such a great potential and they keep doing better and better at every race they attend.

Same case for Heineken.

Damien and Adam a little older (around 30, anyway...) they may be but they are so great athletes, so talented and so committed that age is irrelevant.

Overall, knowing that most of the top riders are so young is great news for kiteracing's future and such a challenge for old farts like myself.

btw, why don't you convince the whole "San Fran gang" to travel to Germany next year for the Worlds? You guys rock!
