What freestyle board with speed and good carving for 2011?

Postby asparp » Tue Jan 18, 2011 9:27 pm

Hi, I am looking for changing my TT (Pike, I like sushi, 130x 37).
I want something a bit more freestyle for unhook tricks, size aprox. 132x 39 I think, but with good speed, and carving capability.
I ride Ozone C4 2011, principaly 10m in 15-25 knots average.
I live in Mexico so there are not a lot of offers.
I can get good deals on North Team series (or all the others) UDG Styx 2010 o 2011 and Crypt.
Theres is also a Liquid force Dealer but i don't know these boards...
Weight 75Kg average, 1,85m.

I am inclining for the Crypt, but haven't tried it and it's a bit pricey(but I would not change it before a few years if it is good for me so, I could make the investment!)
What would recommend?

Regards

The UG boards are really good. I don't think you need to go for the Crypt. The Styx 132 will work just fine and will last you a long time. Liquid Force also offers really good boards. I would recommend the Influence, the Kaos, or the LFX.

Here are some of the videos with some tech info:

Influence

Kaos

LFX

I just got a Shinn "Monk" in a 132/41 size. this board is unbelievable for all conditions and great for unhooking as well. You might like the 130x40 which is also sick!!
If you get the chance check it out!

Not tested the Crypt, can't comment on this board.

Monk is just average, nothing to shout about.
