Tecnique for Downind

Hello there,

I am newbie to kiteracing, and I have a basic question:

What is the best tecnique for the downind?

Kitelooping all the way?

Just move the kite up and down?

Depend on the conditions?

And the back foot, always use it on the windward strap? Or some people use it on the oposite strap? Any board has a strap in the midle?

Thanks a Lot

I've been trying to find advice on this myself.

The gist of what I've read is to downloop the kite at the top mark to get up to speed as quickly as possible before bearing off.

Weight more inboard and back and work the kite across the middle of the window as aggressively as you can. Looping if you are restricted on width to work it or the wind lulls too light to work it.

Bear off more in the gusts but less in the lulls to avoid dropping off the plane.
